Band – Important Dates and Audition Info
Concert Band, Percussion Ensemble
No audition is required. Students can be placed in these classes/ensembles without an audition. No prior experience is required to participate in these ensembles.
Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble
Auditions occur in May. Students are required to play their 12 major scales, a chromatic scale, and a prepare an etude. Etudes will be released and available on this site in April.
Jazz Ensemble
Students for the Jazz Ensemble are chosen from Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble students.
Marching Cowboys
All students in the Gaither Band Program participate in the Marching Cowboys. There is no audition for this ensemble.
